Prof. Oquaye’s seat in Danger!
As ‘woman of truth, vision and integrity’ goes for his seat

After failing his bid to become the presidential candidate of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) the agony of Prof. Mike Oquaye still continues as Mrs. Zita Okaikoi a barrister has seriously declared her intention to contest the Dome-Kwabenya seat on the ticket of the main opposition party the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
Mrs. Zita Okaikoi popularly know in the constituency as Mama Zee, a bachelor of Art (BA) Degree in English and Law from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science & Technology who is currently aspiring to lead the NDC has so far started her campaign in earnest by consulting market women, artisans and petty traders even before she would elected as the NDC’s candidate for the constituency come February 16th 2008.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with the EVENING TRIBUNE, she said, as a responsible mother, caring approachable and accessible, she understands the pains of the people who are mostly underprivileged due to the effect of harsh economic policies of the NPP that favors only the rich and the upper class in society.
Madam Zee, an outspoken, eloquent and a good communicator in the local and English language said when voted for as to represent the people in constituency, she will at all time defend and fight for their interest and what is appropriately due the Dome Kwabenya constituency.
“This is the time to make a change and usher in a caring Atta Mills- Zita Okaikoi” she added.
Madam Zita a young and active Lawyer born in Accra noted that she believes in the social democratic ideas of the NDC as the bedrock on which the national cake and development can be equitably distributed for all devoid of any cronyism, nepotism and discrimination as being practice by the ruling NPP government.
